ATTORNEYS

Heidi L. Wickstrom joined the firm as an Associate in 2007. Heidi immediately began “second-chairing” cases with Mr. Pillersdorf across New York City, Long Island, Westchester County and in Federal Court. Through trial and post-verdict practice, she has assisted in obtaining many multi-million dollar recoveries for clients; namely, a $15.7 million verdict for the plaintiff in a case against Consolidated Edison of New York; and $10 million and $5.4 million verdicts, respectively, for two plaintiffs in cases against the New York City Transit Authority. Heidi has also tried many cases on her own, achieving her first solo jury verdict in the amount of $625,000.00 only two months after being admitted to practice in New York State courts. In addition to her trial work, Heidi has attained countless six and seven figure recoveries for injured plaintiffs through mediation, arbitration, and out-of-court settlement. Heidi also engages in Appellate practice, having authored and argued appeals in both the First and Second Departments of the Appellate Division.

Heidi graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 with degrees in Communication Studies and Film and Video Studies and, after taking a year off to work for the general counsel of a property development firm, she attended Syracuse University College of Law. While a student at Syracuse University College of Law, Heidi was on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Society and worked for a boutique personal injury law firm as a law student intern.

For a large portion of her undergraduate career, Heidi concentrated in a pre-med course of study, with the goal of working towards being a neurologist or psychiatrist. Through many twists of fate, Heidi decided to pursue law school instead and discovered that she could combine her interests in medicine, helping injured people, and law by working on behalf of plaintiffs in the personal injury field. Heidi believes that the most rewarding part of her job is being able to engage directly with her clients and their families, and relishes the opportunity to speak on the behalf of those who may not be able to do so.

In her spare time, Heidi enjoys embracing all that New York has to offer, playing and watching sports, theater, and hanging out with her dog, Jack.
